FOR GROUPS & GATHERINGS

Retreats at Kahana

Kahana is designed as a retreat space for groups who value presence, simplicity, and time together. Set between the reef and the hillside in Cemento, Baler, our space offers a quiet environment where days can unfold naturally — with room for movement, learning, rest, and shared experience.

We host retreats alongside regular stays, allowing the energy of group gatherings to feel grounded rather than staged. Whether you’re bringing people together for movement, wellness, creative work, or intentional time away, Kahana provides the setting — calm, flexible, and close to nature.

The space

Retreats at Kahana make use of our open-air shala, garden lounge, and shared spaces, all designed to support flow and connection. Sessions can take place under the trees, on the deck, or in quiet corners of the property, with the ocean just steps away.

Our accommodations include a mix of private rooms and group suites, making it easy to host small to mid-sized groups comfortably. All rooms are air-conditioned with ensuite bathrooms, offering a balance of rest and simplicity after full days of activity.

Kahana is especially suited for:

  • Movement and wellness retreats
  • Creative workshops and residencies
  • Small group immersions and trainings
  • Community gatherings and offsites

The pace here is intentionally unhurried. Early mornings can be quiet or active, afternoons are open for rest or reflection, and evenings naturally bring people together — over meals, conversations, or shared moments in the garden.

Supporting your retreat

We offer daily nourishing breakfast and can help coordinate additional meals, local catering, or group dining arrangements. Our team is happy to assist with local logistics, transport coordination, and simple scheduling support, allowing facilitators to focus on their group rather than operations.

Surf, nature walks, tide pooling, and nearby excursions can be woven into your program, or left entirely optional. We’re close enough to everything, without feeling busy or over-programmed.

A collaborative approach

We work best with facilitators and organizers who value alignment, clear communication, and respect for the space and community. Each retreat is approached as a collaboration — shaped by your intention, your group, and the rhythm of the place.

If you’re exploring a retreat at Kahana, we’re happy to talk through dates, group size, and how the space might support what you’re planning.

A Few Practical Details

How many people can Kahana accommodate for a retreat?

Kahana is best suited for small to mid-sized groups, from 25-40 people. Depending on room configuration, we can comfortably host intimate retreats and group stays while keeping the space calm and unrushed.

Not always. Some retreats choose to book the whole space for privacy, while others are hosted alongside regular guests. We’ll help you decide what setup works best for your group and intentions.

We’ve hosted yoga and movement retreats, surf and wellness gatherings, creative workshops, trainings, and private group stays. If your retreat values presence, connection, and a slower pace, the space tends to support it naturally.

Can we bring our own facilitator or teacher?

Yes. Most retreats hosted here are led by external facilitators. We’re happy to support your flow rather than impose a fixed format.

Daily breakfast is included. We can also help coordinate additional meals, catering, transport, and local activities if needed — or keep things simple and hands-off if you prefer.

Reach out with your idea, preferred dates, and estimated group size. We’ll walk through availability, space options, and what support makes sense for your retreat.
